The first step on your journey to your beautiful new smile is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Larson. He offers free consultations for dental implants, so you can come in and find out what your treatment plan will look like before committing to anything.
At your consultation, Dr. Larson will conduct an evaluation of your oral health and assess your dental implant needs. He’ll discuss your goals with you and create a plan that’s personalized to your unique situation.
Supplemental Procedures
Sometimes people who’ve been missing teeth for a while can experience jaw deterioration. Without a tooth in place to stimulate your jawbone, it can weaken. Dental implants require strong jawbone density to integrate, but don’t worry — Dr. Larson can restore it.
Supplemental procedures such as bone grafting and sinus lifts can make your jawbone dense enough to receive dental implants. Dental implants are also the only tooth replacement option that keeps your jawbone strong, so you won’t have to worry about losing it again.
Placing Your Implant
When you’re ready to receive your implant, Dr. Larson can begin by placing the first part — the titanium fixture. Though it won’t be visible, this is the most important part of the implant because it acts as the roots of your new tooth.
Titanium is commonly used for fixtures because of its ability to create a strong bond with living bone in a process called osseointegration. Your new tooth will actually become part of your jaw, meaning it’ll be completely stable.
Dr. Larson will take a 3D image of your mouth using his iCAT FLX scanner. This will allow him to see exactly where the implant needs to be placed. He also uses precision surgical guides to ensure the implant is placed properly.
If Dr. Larson is restoring a full arch for you, you’ll receive multiple fixtures to support more teeth.

Once your surgical site has healed and the fixture is fully integrated, Dr. Larson can place the rest of your implant. You’ll receive your beautiful new smile — completed with a natural-looking porcelain crown.
